Abstract
This chapter delves into the pathophysiology of hyperlipidemia, obesity, and lipodystrophy syndromes. The rationale for using selected therapies in these conditions is presented after reviewing relevant concepts in endocrine physiology. Where relevant, selected clinical trial data is reviewed.
